I recently downloaded an app called “Home Scouting” right onto my phone. It allows me to create and save searches based on my wish list of home features. Seriously, I could spend hours doing this on my own, or have everything right at my fingertips with this app. I’ve since created multiple searches based on different sets of parameters, and I receive emails or texts (user’s choice) when properties are updated into or out of my search. Now I can keep tabs on all the different neighborhoods I’m casually checking out — genius!
This app is great whether or not you are “actively” looking for a new home. It can also be useful if you’re considering selling your home. Do you know what’s going on in your neighborhood? What are the list prices of comparable homes? You can create a search for this type of activity, too, even if you’re not quite ready to speak with a real estate agent and list your property.
